Noe helt annet.
Crockett and Jones is the benchmark for quality shoemaking in the Northampton. But pumping 1/4 million pairs a year, half of those under C&J label, is more of a mass produced commodity than an an artisanal operation like Gaziano & Girling, and Edward Green.
As a former Tricker’s wholesale customer I can tell you that things have changed significantly since 2016. The Balthrop family no longer runs Tricker’s, drastic cost-cutting measures were taken to balance the books which resulted in lower quality leathers uppers, and dramatic price increases outside of the UK.
If considering John Lobb bespoke (£5.000-£7.000), I will advice to do a little bit of homework, as John Lobb uses many external “hands” for their bespoke service, many of which, if contacted directly will be able to do the same job for around £2.500,-
