A Sptifire pilot was shot down over occupied France during the second world war, and was held by the germans as a prisoner of war. He suffered some quite severe injuries during the crash, and they soon had to amputate his left leg.
The pilot asked the guards, "would you be a sport chaps, and ask your fly-boys on the next bombing of London, if maybe they can drop my amputated leg as well please? I wouldn`t like a part of me to be left over here you see ..."
The guard replied "JAWOHLL, ICH WILL ASK ZE PILOTS TO DO THAT!"
Not that much time after, the other leg of the pilot was forced to be amputated as well. And same question with same argument was passed by the pilot, to the guards ...
And the answer was, as the first time ""JAWOHLL, ICH WILL ASK ZE PILOTS TO DO THAT!"
Not only had the pilot been shot down, lost two legs, but soon after also his left arm was in a severe state due to gangreen, and it to had to be amputated. And yet again the same question by the pilot, and the same reply by the guards ...
The following week the doctors in the camp found gangreen in the right arm also, and it to had to be removed.
And lord behold, same question again "Hate to ask you chaps, but would you please drop my right arm over my beloved London as well ...I would find it rather difficult to know one of my limbs are left over here"
