Dagens vin

Spennende line-up!

To start with I had a problem opening the sliding lid of the box . I had to use a wooden cube and hammer to remove it, using a towel to protect the bottle / label. Even though I tried wiggling it with my hands to pull it out straight.

I've never had the experience of tasting a 32 yr. old bottle of champagne.

Vazart Coquart Le Millésime Grand Cru 1989 # 038 of 50.

When I was releasing the cork there was next to nothing of pressure as well too supposedly with the sound and white cloud of mist from the bottle.

Colour was a beautiful dark golden yellow. The aromas and taste were ok, I would say with a slight taste of sherry, but there was no fizz/ bubbles. I thought this was a disappointment. DN gave a magnum bottle 92 points with a drinking window from 2021 to 2023. Maybe this might have been a better choice.

If there were no bubbles left I guess you would be able to return it, right? I don’t have much experience with old champagnes, but they should still have bubbles at that age if I’m not mistagen.

This is the reply from the supplier. So we'll see.

Deovlet La Encantada Pinot Noir 2018.
