Jeg ser ofte på de i forbindelse med at jeg legger datteren min og på tven som står i rommet ved siden av har vi bare apple tv på så da blir jeg ofte sittende å se på youtube til hun sovner. Uansett sende jeg inn et spørsmål om Blancpain Fifthy Fathoms og hvorvidt de trodde at det kom noen oppdateringer på den, da dagens model runder 10 år i år. Siden Tim som har showet var syk på mandag tok han seg like godt tid til å sende meg svar på mail. Tenktee jeg kunne dele det:

I don't anticipate a change in the mainstream Fifty Fathoms 5015 because it remains a strong seller, and meaningful changes in size, shape, and detail were launched in the ref. 5000 Bathyscaphe from 2013 forward. Blancpain chose to expand the Fifty Fathoms family rather than alter the flagship mode. Of course, there will continue to be special edition variants of the basic 5015 like the No-Rad, the Aqua Lung, and complicated novelties in the spirit of the 5066 or the monster 5018 (X Fathoms). Changes like the arrival of silicon hairsprings and display case backs keep the model fresh and in tune with the current market's states.
Also, consider that the Fifty Fathoms 5015 is as close as Blancpain gets to something like a sacred brand icon; a Submariner, a Reverso, a Speedmaster Pro. The 5015 recalls the 1953 original while looking the part of a modern luxury watch. This is the type of watch that actually GROWS in appeal the longer it remains unchanged. Having found the perfect balance between modernity and tribute with the 2007 re-design, Blancpain was smart to freeze the template.
Blancpain has continued rolling out new Bathyscaphe models each year since 2013. It's given us ceramic cases, smaller (38mm this year!) cases, chronograph options, different colors... see where I'm going with this?
