Litt off-topic men jeg hadde en lengre prat med en gammel dykker for litt siden der han nevnte dette med krona.

Det jeg bet meg mest merke i var at han stolt kunne fortelle å ha byttet
bort den gamle Submarineren sin i en "nesten" helt ny 16570 Polar

Høres ut som svada. En vanlig o-ring vil fungere på akkurat samme måten.

Det hevdes at en l-pakning gir en bedre forsegling enn en o-ring i denne sammenhengen. Haiet dette fra Seiko & Citizen Watch forum som visstnok er fra Ikuo Tokunaga himself:

Søren, nå fikk jeg enda en ting å gruble over!

Jeg har grublet endel på hvorfor enkelte produsenter velger "automatisk" heliumsventil (er det korrekt ordbruk?), mens andre velger "manuell" heliumsventil med skrukrone. Nå må jeg slenge inn monobloc i denne tankerekken

Hahaha.. helt enig. Det der har jeg grublet over også. Man har jo hørt historier om folk som har glemt å lukke HVE på seamasteren og fått vann inntrengning. Kunne jo lett ungått dette med en «automatisk» ventil

Den største ulempen med monobloc er vel først og fremst størrelsen? Man kan lage en slankere kasse med heliumventil.

Ja det er vel ett kjempegodt poeng ja.
