You would have to look long and hard, in my opinion, to find a nicer watch for the money than the Chopard Mille Miglia.
This titanium case model number 8407 is the original Mille Miglia, on rubber strap with tire tread pattern, with carbon fiber dial with highly luminous Arabic numerals and hands. Case is titanium and measures 40mm diameter by 13.2mm thick. The front crystal is domed sapphire and the case back also features a sapphire display crystal. Chronograph pushers are round, pump style. The titanium crown is signed "LUC". The bezel is broad and the case back screws on. Water resistant to 50 meters.
Movement is a specially decorated ETA Caliber 2894 with 37 jewels, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, with Chopard Geneve engraved on the decorated rotor, and is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
The dial is fantastic on this watch. The center is carbon fiber with very brightly glowing Arabic numerals and luminous hands. There is a date window at 4 o'clock and three sunken subdials: the 3 o'clock subdial is constant seconds (and has 1000 MIGLIA printed in red); the 6 o'clock subdial is the chronograph hours totalizer; the 9 o'clock subdial is the chronograph minutes totalizer.
The rubber Chopard strap has a tire tread pattern and a titanium buckle.
Bought in Paris in 2003, full serviced in 2012, last serviced in April 2016.
