We started late in the evening with a schnitzel as we went up to Stockholm already then because we had an early flight.
The weather was great.
They serve no beer at 06:30 but at least water and chocolate.
After a disastrous start with a water-damaged hotel room, we got a replacement room at another hotel so now we can head out into the city.
First stop will be Chronopolis in the middle of town.
We have decided to focus on small independent brands as the big names don't seem interested in visiting.
They don't even bother to reply to our emails so we leave reporting on them to the media instead.
Atelier Wen make some colorful models.
Next stop will be at Kudoke's display.
The last stop for the day will be att Schwarz Etienne to grab a few beer's with the team.
A colorful collaboration with Peter Speake.
Now we've ended up in a part of Geneva where it's impossible to afford a Cordon Bleu, so we have to cheer up ourselves in the best way possible.
At least they have a Tiramisu.
New day, new watches. Reservoir made some watches with car influences.
And Popeye.
Annelinde Dunselman from Netherlands mede her own watch. The Black Tulip.
The Garrick Watchmakers in UK made some interesting watches.
The Sherpa family was here also and we made a quick stop.
Klanic is a true family business. Each letter in the word Klanic comes from the first name of a member of this family of six.
The wavy dial makes me think of a drop of water falling in the middle.
Now we have ended up at Holthinrichs Watches for a very interesting conversation with Michiel Holthinrichs who tells his story which began with an education in architecture.
Unique 3D printed cases, striking dials with no hard angles to be found.
This watch was very interesting with a transparent photochromic disc between the movement and the hands.
When exposed to sunlight or under a UV lamp, it turns completely black, the opposite of Luminova.Hard to recreate perfectly, but at least you understand how it looks.
Another version of the watch.
Next stop will be at our friends at Zeitwinkel.
Then we run into a new brand Stollenwurm where a good friend to us start working.
A very special watch where only 12 of each model will be made and the serial number will be indicated at one of the numbers at the dial.
Astronomical day symbol and date in the window.
And there is a serie with hand painted dials too.
After a great chat with the Stollenwurm team it was time for something to eat.
It's getting late and the restaurants are full booked so we find a pizza at the end.
First time for me trying a rib eye steak pizza and it works great.
New day and the first stop was at Rudis Sylva.
In house movement with 2 balance wheels.
A movement with a unique system where the balance wheels rotate too like a tourbillon, but it is not.
The new Corum.
A Hautlence retro style.
Just a pit stop.
Lets see what Czapek com up with.
Now we have to check out Moser and see what unique stuff they have on the table this year.
A black clean watch to start with, I just wonder what can be spacial with this one?
I've heard about some kind of collaboration with Reebok pump shoe from 1989 but not more than that.
What can this button do? Yes you wind the movement with a pump, so it's the same as on the shoe. Just pump it up.
It comes in white too.
It can't be cleaner than this and it still gives so much information.
A milanese was the closest I get to a schnitzel this year.
New day and new watches.
One main spring and nearly 42 days (1000 hours) power reserve i impressive. No key needed, just wing it with the rotating bezel.
Jean-Marc Fleury show us a few chronographs.
Sartory Billard focus mostly at their jumping hours this year.
Our frind Patrik was showing his brand GOS.
This one is my favourite.
This kind of dials are more with the GOS brand.
Another watchmaker from thee north is Torsti Laine from Finland based in Switzerland,
He made his own dials and have a great collection of options.
Fears watches from UK
Now it was time to visit Lebios & Co and finally get to see The Atelier Chronograph 324.549 ‘Watchprosite 25th Anniversary.
Then the unthinkable happens, the camera is dropped on the floor.
This complicates the whole thing and I have done my best with a display that is completely striped and does not show the camera's settings.
I will have to compensate for this when it gets home and can be immortalized with a "real" camera.
A quick stop at Krayon.
The last stop was at Dominique Renaud to check out his new watch.
A really cool gear and double Incablock's toto relieve the pressure.
A really interesting watcth. The big balance wheel
This oscillates with an amplitude of over 500 and the second hand jumps one step every half second when the balance wheel reaches its end position.
It will be interesting to see how this develops as no one has managed to get a watch with such great balance to run well in the long run.
Is it time now?
The last meal for this time.
