Jon Henrik Haraldsen is the founder and editor of Tidssonen.
His appreciation for mechanical timepieces began in his late teens, and he founded Tidssonen in 2007 at the age of 20. He is considered one of the most knowledgeable and influential voices on wristwatches in Norway.
In addition to his work at Tidssonen, Jon Henrik is the “in-house” watch expert/contributor at the national business newspaper Finansavisen (“The Norwegian Financial Daily”). He has a weekly watch column in Finansavisen Motor, and also writes for Finansavisen Fashion. Jon Henrik has also written for publications such as Basic Klokker & Smykker, Gull & Ur (the joint trade magazine of the Norwegian Watchmakers’ Association and the Norwegian Goldsmiths’ Association), Eksklusiv, and MANN.
Jon Henrik studied econometrics, financial derivatives and mathematics at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, and holds a B.Sc. in Business and Economics from BI Norwegian Business School.
He is 30 years old and resides in Fredrikstad, an hour south of Oslo.
